White Bear Smiles
We've taken the time to put together a great team here at White Bear Smiles, and we'd love to introduce ourselves! Since we enjoy getting to know our patients so much, we thought we'd return the favor. Each member of our team is a professional through and through, but we also like to have fun. We love what we do, and we think it shows. So the next time you come by, be sure and say hi!
Meet Our Team
Paul Anderson, DDS
After earning his bachelor’s degree in biological sciences at the University of Minnesota, Dr. Anderson continued at U of MN Dental School, earning his DDS degree and graduating with honors. He then completed a select advanced dentistry residency post graduation.
Dr. Anderson’s passion for learning didn’t stop after graduation, however. He continues to study and seek out new opportunities to learn more advanced techniques so that he can provide the highest quality care for his patients. Dr. Anderson takes courses through the Pankey Institute, and has certifications in 3M implants, Biolase, Perio Protect, and ZOOM.
To keep an eye on the latest developments in dentistry, Dr. Anderson is a member of several professional associations, including the American Dental Association, the Minnesota Dental Association, the St. Paul District Dental Society, and the East Metro Dental Study Club.
Because Dr. Anderson believes in supporting the education of every member of his team, White Bear Smiles sponsors specialist training of our entire staff.
Dr. Anderson’s skills have not gone unnoticed, and he’s received multiple accolades, including selection for Minneapolis/St. Paul Magazine’s Hall of Fame and an Angie’s List’s Super Service Award.
Dr. Anderson loves his community and makes time for helping others, whether he’s supporting the Union Gospel Mission or coaching youth sports. Outside the office, Dr. Anderson might be found paddle boarding or participating in a triathlon, and chances are good that he’ll be surrounded by his family.
Surrounded by family and friends, Dr. Anderson and his wife Mary are, as he says, living the dream!
Ellen Swift, DDS
Dr. Ellen Swift was raised in Mahtomedi, MN by her father, Dr. Paul Anderson, and mother, Mary, a dental hygienist. Inspired to pursue a dental career, Dr. Swift earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, graduating with distinction. She enjoys visiting with her patients, considering them her White Bear Smiles family while providing excellent oral health care.
Dr. Swift is a member of the American Dental Association, the Minnesota Dental Association, and the St. Paul District Dental Society. These professional associations and an abundance of continuing dental education allow her to better serve her patients while keeping up on the latest techniques and technology in the industry.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Swift is passionate about spending time with her family and friends. She can often be found at the family cabin, various workout classes, or trying new restaurants and activities in the metro area with her husband, Peter.
