Dental Anxiety

If you suffer from dental anxiety you are not alone.  There are thousands of people who need to go to the dentist but won't go because of a previous bad experience at a dental office. The Wall Street Journal had reported that nearly 25% of Americans are so fearful of the dentist that they avoid necessary dental check-ups and treatment. Our staff at White Bear Smiles takes dental anxiety seriously and that is why we listen carefully to your concerns and fears and make every effort to ensure that you are comfortable and feel safe. Often times just getting in the door can be a challenge for some anxiety patients and that is why White Bear Smiles offers a no charge consultation where you can just sit and chat with your dentist. We offer nitrous oxide (also known as laughing gas) which can help you relax. In addition to nitrous oxide, we provide sunglasses, headphones, and have an array of movies you can watch while you're in the dental chair. Certain situations can also be helped by the use of an oral sedative, a pill, that can help to relax you. We encourage you to take as many breaks as you need. White Bear Smiles strives to establish trusting relationships with our patients. We take your concerns seriously and want to make your visit to our office as stress-free as possible. Call us today for your free dental consultation. See you soon!
